New Hampshire

New Hampshire is one of the smallest, least-populated states in the country. It ranks 46th in area and 41st in population and is generally an afterthought by most of the nation until it comes time for the Presidential primaries. Then “The Granite State” takes the center stage for many weeks, as all the major candidates take their turn trundling through cities like Concord, Manchester, Nashua, Portsmouth, Laconia and Keene.

Many New Hampshire financial services are offered, as the area is often embroiled in controversial tax decisions. The state collects property taxes, which are subject to municipal control, but no broad sales tax or income tax. New Hampshire financial investing is a hot topic, as the state debates whether to raise or lower taxes on meals, lodging, vehicles, business and investment income, and roads.

New Hampshire is located in New England, bordered on Canada to the north, Maine to the east, Massachusetts to the south, and Vermont to the west. The White Mountain range has a prominent place in north-central New Hampshire. Mount Washington, the tallest peak in the northeast U.S., proudly claims the world weather on earth at its summit.

While the state isn't large, it affords many chances to extend a stock market education. Those interested in investing and trading can sharpen their skills by enrolling at one of the state's many colleges, universities and community colleges.

Dartmouth College, established in 1769 and a member of the Ivy League, is the most prestigious school in the state. It offers an undergraduate liberal arts program, as well as medical and business schools.

The University System of New Hampshire was established in 1963 and oversees the University of New Hampshire, Plymouth State, Keene State and Granite State College. It is the largest provider of post-secondary education in the state. Each of the schools offers business classes, which should assist in the New Hampshire financial investing process. Attending these schools will make it easy to further a trading education or get more knowledge about New Hampshire financial services.
